Fall of the Sun
BURNING HOUSE
Fall of the Sun was the first project of Team BURNING HOUSE, which we created as a part of the Gamebox online incubator. We decided to develop a game about defending the Star Harvester base that encircles the entire star to steal its energy. In terms of gameplay, you can think of it as radial tower defense: build turrets that shoot different projectiles, move them around the star, and prepare to destroy waves of incoming alien ships. When the game round comes to the late waves and you create a good number of turrets and defense platforms and they all attack overwhelming enemy waves, it’s a pretty cool sight to see. Even though the visuals are pretty simple.
While developing the game, I worked on gameplay logic for defense platforms, turrets, their shooting and targeting intelligence, and core game systems like game states and saves. We also introduced characters and some stories in the game, which I worked on as well.
